Well, there is much more to this place than meets the eye .. but the initial walk along the airport highway reminded me of a movie scene where one would land on a deserted planet and there wasn’t much to see in the distance except the gloomy weather, and rocks scattered in the fields.
Welcome to ReykjavÃk
Day 4 of my stay at Keflavik area. It’s October now and the weather is not all that good these days with constant winds and rain showers, which also contributed to my cancelled tour today. Snow might be falling by early afternoon.
So with a nice cup of coffee I relax in the common area.
I travelled by local bus from Keflavik to ReykjavÃk on Monday to do the Hop On-Hop Off City Sightseeing Tour. With 15 stops on the tour there was plenty to see even with the hiccups of the weather. From Harpa Concert Hall & Conference centre to my favourite stop Hallgrimskirkja ( Iceland’s largest church and main landmark) to Kringlan Shopping Centre there’s plenty to do to make new memories.
Like any place I have visited, Iceland also has its own beauty and charm. So much more to explore in this country!!!
